    Alfred Dreyfus and Camille Pissarro

                                                                  Camille     Pissarro  Pissarro
Sometimes, the subconscious emotion leads to the greatest and most wonderful accomplishment. The famous and unique visual angle of Camille Pissarro's painting of metro- Paris, arcturally results in the riproaring anti-semitic parades in Paris during Dreyfus Affairs. The painter is Jew, he was sitting on the roof, watching these people demolishing the shops and yellling at the Jews, wonderring how would he live through all of these maybe. He was afraid, I guess, of whether he could survive.

The cartoon of a French family dinner by caricaturist Caran d'Ache illustrates the divisions in French society during the Dreyfus affair. In top panel, the host says, "Above all, let us not speak of the Dreyfus affair!". Bottom panel shows the dinner party in disorder: "They have spoken of it"
