June 28 Before the World Second War 1Here the issue has nothing to do with the war, the game and strategy. It's the old-fashioned civilization that result in the wonder of what-amd-how people eat and drink, think and entertain, how they travel, where they settle. After those films and novels, biography and history, I found out something really interesting and I would like to write it down.
The program "EGYPT" of BBC tells the three well-known archaeologicial stories of British. (By the way, it is wonderful.) According to the feud between Britain and France(kiddiing), two of the stories concerning the contest and invisible war between them in archaeology. of ancient Egypt. It reflects the sharp-cut difference of the British and French in a very vivid way. Moreover, it occurs to me that how amazing the variety of European is. Basically, in my opinion, the quality of prominent artists, musicians and litterateur, and the character of the scientists and philosophers present the typical particularity of the country. Compared with Bach, Mozart,Gounod, Bizet and Chopin, there is no British musician in such rank. How about the art? God did not send a angel of art to Britain, while he did favor the mainland of Europe with Vinci, Picasso, Monet, Von Gogh, Rembrandt and Vadim Repin. Therefore, the fact that Britain had never prossessed a worldwide musician or artist comes easily the notion that England lacks romance, creation and talent. However, it is not my conclusion actually. The mainland of Europe is not open for something new in ideology as well as science, the two basic facters for "the Empire Rise". Afterwards, Britain build up her own perfect administering system and it turns out to be the most efficient through the last two-hundred-year's contest. June 24 Globe TrekkerRecently I have been more and more interested in the BBC' scientific TV program <Walking with Beast> and the travelling program <Globe Trekker> in Discovery Channel. When I was surfing on line to find out more information, I came across a great Blog. (At first I thought she is a pretty and fashionable girl， however it turns out to be a guy). The content was excellent and full of the charming quality which is so different to my friends. I guess he is some kind of an ABC or at least grown up overseas and born in Taiwan.
The world is so well-rounded and the people are so various, I am convinced to venture my whole life to get know all of these as much as possible. June 20 the wonderful wisdomI have sent out the financial certificate and got off the burden. Sometimes I just escape from the reality subconsciously, forgetting the trouble and the unforseen hardship in front of me and immersed in my own perfect classic world.
Back to the issue. According to the books I have read since I was a kid, my favorite ones are almost vivid, enchanting, full of allien culture or saga, and splendid. Sick of the heavy and thick colour of the reality, avoiding the abstruse thought of the doomed sadness of human being, how ideal I am. Today, in the <南方周末>，the writer said "When I am immersed in the <三国演义><红楼梦>，I am happy to realize that this world is intact. However, after the reading of <Spartacus>, my fine classic world collapsed, and I am definitely on to that I am just a lonely , single and a separated individual." The comment is excellent and it calls on sympathization ! Though I did not enjoy <红楼梦>. The shocking fine art, music, movie and literature production, which catch my eyes in the first shoot, render the basic character -- the producer not only show me a world to enjoy but also present the unthought-of beauty or grandeur of life, human being and nature. Marvelling at their wisdom, but never lose yourself. June 12 Money and financial certificateMoney is a good thing...... Finally I desided to try the George Washington. It's a lot of money, beyond the capability of my family. The trouble of getting the financial certificate and visa, the unforseen further....... It's much better now, for I can do something instead of just waiting.
God bless me! June 11 All beyond and within the workIf I am in it, I must do it. That's what jobs mean. With no reluctance and whine, by the way I should not resist any kind of hardwork and paintaking, I should do as volutarily as I did at the beginning of my job. The longer I worked, the more self-awareness and exclusionism I have been. If this is the way how people get more and more standpat in their professional lives, I must do everything possible to avoid the petrifaction. Can not only the team-spirit and altruism benefit me, but also the self-control and consideration. What a shame.! When you realize the unreason and frightfulness of yourself, the remores vanishes as if it has never shown up.
Thanks and tears for all my friends, the warmth has provide me the strength to get through the wax and wane. Missing the nosheries in the lane behind my high school, the hahal food restaurant nearby my college and numerous delicacies, such as rice noodle, Fish with Chinese Sauerkraut, beef ravioli and mutton wonton, flavored beef and hahal fruit-and-vegetable salad, peppery chicken and Korean Cuisine...... The happy days full of them ......Chacha was right, the most indelible for me are food, but the friends are the most indispensable factor for me get the appetite and form the good memory.
The magazine "VALUE"and"ASIA ECONOMY" is wonderful. Though I have been a little rusty on stock, bond, fund, that sort of things known as capital, the article and comment are thought-provoking, full of humor and wit, and excellent. The authors and editors are all senior and professional in this field and having witnessed, experienced and studied the eat and flow of the capital market. It marks the saying"no story, no telling".
《新编古春风楼琐记》is imbued with the old-fashioned Chinese language and atmosphere. The writer earns my respect through the short but polished essays which is in the supplement of the half-century-ago newspaper in Taiwan. How happy I am when I come across a great book! |
